A waterfront has been planned for Sematan making it an added attraction to the sea side town.
There has been no other mention of how long and when the waterfront would be built, but the announcement was made by Sarawak Chief Minister, Tan Sri Adenan Satem.
According to the Adenan, the waterfront would look like the one already built in Telaga Air.
Aside from the Waterfront, the Pan Borneo road would also end at Lundu once the Jalan Sematan to Teluk Melano stretch is completed, hence making creating a tourism boom probably in the future. The Pantai Pandan-Kpg Belungei-Kpg Pugu road would also be upgraded with some RM11.7 million.
