Red zones for Covid-19 in Kuching District

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee today announced localized areas in Kuching District that are considered ‘Red Zones’.

This comes after Kuching was declared a red zone for the pandemic recently.

According to the statement by the committee, the zones within Kuching that are listed as red zones are:

  • Samariang (known as Samariang)
  • Taman Sukma (known as Samariang)
  • Jalan Arang (known as Zone 1)
  • Stampin (known as Zone 1)
  • Jalan Lapangan Terbang (known as Zone 1)
  • Jalan Song (known as Zone 1)
  • Taman BDC (known as Zone 1)
  • Jalan Stutong (known as Zone 1)
  • Patingan (known as Satok)
  • Sg Maong (known as Satok)
  • Satok (known as Satok)
  • Taman Sri Wangi (known as Taman Sri Wangi)
  • Laruh Skim, Gita (known as Taman Sri Wangi)
  • Central Park (known as Zone 2)
  • Tabuan Laru (known as Zone 2)
  • Kenny Hill (known as Zone 2)
  • SMK Seri Setia (known as Zone 2)
  • Taman Green Heights (known as Zone 2)

According to the statement by Sarawak Disaster Management Committee, the hardest hit area is Samariang with 20 cases, followed by Zone 1, Satok, Taman Sri Wangi and Zone 2.
