Race track proposed for Kuching
A race track has been proposed to be built in Kuching City by Tupong State Assemblyman Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman.
According to Fazzruddin, he hoped that the Sarawak government will start such initiative by preparing a piece of land able to accommodate a race track of at least of 800m long and 50m wide.
Saying that youths in Sarawak are keen Motorsport enthusiast, Fazzrudin also noted that an investment to build a race track won’t be heavy investment, but the return will definitely be high given .
Fazzrudin noted also that this year alone, two auto race events had attracted thousands of spectators as well as participants from outside Malaysia.
He added this proved that the youths in Sarawak showed keen interest in the motor sport, which had become a global trend.
