Padawan Municipal Council gets new headquarters

The Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) will soon own a new headquarters after the Sarawak government announced an allocation of RM60 million for such purpose.

According to an article by DayakDaily, the new building will sit on a 20 acre land just beside the Semonggoh Wildlife Centre.

Details on the new building has yet to be made public so there’s not much information on the building just yet.

Currently, MPP operates at their own building in 10th Mile Bazaar.  The council is the local authority for an area of 1,432 km2 (553 sq mi) which covers mainly the Kuching outskirts.

Among major areas under MPP is Padawan, Batu Kawa, Matang Jaya, Kota Sentosa, Bengoh and Telaga Air.
