No Air Supply in Kuching: Fans left ‘all out of love’ after eleventh hour cancellation

Air Supply fans eagerly awaiting the legendary soft rock duo Air Supply’s “50th Anniversary Celebration” concert in Kuching were left disappointed and “all out of love” after the event was canceled.
The concert, which was to be held at SBC Hall on September 24, 2025, was highly anticipated as it would have marked the first-ever performance by the Australian duo in the city.
Air Supply first made the announcement of the cancellation of their concert in Kuching Malaysia, on thier official channel.
In a brief post, the duo’s official management said that the show was cancelled due to ‘Operational reasons on the part of the promoter’.

The cancellation was later confirmed and announced by the local event organizer, Twig Events Sdn. Bhd. through their statement.
Twig Events in their official statement, which was released at about 7AM today (September 24th), stated that Air Supply had announced the cancellation at 3.15AM on 24 September 2025.
The company emphasis that they had already made all the preparations for the concert and are equally shock, saddened and dissapointed with the cancellation.
Twig Events also cited that Galaxy World Entertainment Sdn Bhd is the concert promoter to the Kuching concert and that Galaxy World Entertainment handled coordination and communication with Air Supply’s management.

While the organizers’ terms and conditions state that a full refund will be provided if an event is canceled, the lack of a clear reason for the cancellation has been a source of dismay for fans.
Air Supply, comprising Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock, has been on a world tour to celebrate their five decades of music.
The Kuching show was part of a Malaysian leg of their tour, which also included a performance in Kuala Lumpur on September 23. The Kuala Lumpur concert, held at Mega Star Arena, proceeded as planned.
The cancellation in Kuching is a significant blow to the city’s music scene and to the dedicated fans who were looking forward to hearing timeless hits like “Lost in Love,” “All Out of Love,” and “Making Love Out of Nothing At All” live.
Many had purchased tickets, with prices ranging from RM358 to RM888, and were making travel arrangements to attend the one-night-only event.
The cancellation of a major international act’s concert is a rare occurrence in Kuching, and the lack of communication has only added to the public’s disappointment.
Nonetheless, with both Twig Events and Air Supply both stating they are trying to ‘reschedule’ the concert, there is perhaps hopes that the concert would still carry on, albeit probably on a later date.
