Kuching North extends Kuching Car-Free Morning

The Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) will be expanding the Kuching Car-Free Morning which it organizes on a monthly basis.

The event which is currently held once a week, on the first Sunday of the month, will now be held twice weekly.

DBKU in it’s social media posting said the event will now be held on the first and third week of the month, as it serves to reduce Kuching’s carbon footprint and encourages social interactivity for Kuchinginites.

The current monthly event has gained popularity since introduced by the city hall last year with more and more Kuchinginites coming to the town centre to walk, jog, cycle, run and exercise.

During the event, a few roads nearby Padang Merdeka are closed to traffic and converted into a huge space for recreational activities.
