Entry into Sarawak eased from 14 January onwards
Entry into Sarawak will be eased from 14 January 2022.
According to the latest press release, Malaysians without any international travel history within the last 14 days entering Sarawak can now enter Sarawak without filling in EnterSarawak.
Such exemption is also accorded to non-Malaysian travellers who have resided in Malaysia for more than 14 days.
The move comes as the Sarawak Government, through the Sarawak Disaster Management Comitee (SDMC), eases restrictions in Sarawak as the region slowly adapts to Phase Four of the National Recovery Plan (NRP).
Based on daily reports, Sarawak is recording below 100 Covid-19 infections on a daily basis.
An infographic of the announcement can be seen below.
SDMC nonetheless reminded all travellers coming into Sarawak about the need to complete the e-Health Declaration forms, as well as adhere to other mandatory conditions prior to entering Sarawak.
This includes being fully vaccinated, and having their Covid-19 vaccination certificate checked at the airport.
