Best Western eyes opening a hotel in Kuching
Best Western is eyeing Kuching as their next market for a hotel in the coming years with a new hotel brand, known as Vib (pronounced ‘Vibe’) possibly emerging as a new hotel in the Cat City.
Vib is marketed as a “chic, hip boutique concept” that will be positioned in the upper-midscale sector, and it targets “millennial” travellers who are “looking for new experiences”.
The hotel will have typical facilities with addition to a large social lobby areas with virtual concierges, automated check-in, room services that can be activated by smartphones, international plug sockets and free Wi-Fi.
Asia’s first Vib hotel will be launched in the Gangnam area of Seoul in 2017. Other Malaysian cities also targetted by Best Wester for Vib is Shah Alam.
