The ASEAN International Film Festival and Awards, better known as AIFFA, will return this 2023.
This time around, the event will be held from August 2nd to August 4th, 2023.
According to an article by Borneo Post, the event will be held in Kuching with screenings, exhibitions and workshops held during the whole festival, and the Gala Night being used to award the best of ASEAN films.
All events, except for the gala dinner, will be open to the public.
It is understood that most of the events programmes, which include screenings, workshops and the exhibition will be done at the Old Court House, with the Gala Dinner and Award Ceremony planned at Pullman Kuching.
A top celebrity, who will attend the event, will also be revealed on 20 July.
This year, it is understood that more than 120 film entries have already been received and will be shortlisted for AIFFA 2023.
Aside from that, the festival would also premier the first AIFFA ASEAN SDG University Short Film (ASUS) competition.
More details will be announced by the organizers as the event draws closer.
