World’s first Hydrogen ART arrives in Kuching
The world’s first Hydrogen powered Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) has officially arrived in Kuching.
Named Bulan, the ART’s arrival was well published by local media since it departed from its factory about a week ago.
Local TV station, TVS showcased the arrival of the ART at Senari Port this morning as it was offloaded from the cargo ship onto awaiting trailers.
There were three components of the ART, with all three being offloaded and ferried away to a local storage facility soon after.
According to TVS report, the ART arrived yesterday, had gone through customs checks, and was only allowed to be offloaded today.
After being offloaded, the ART was sent to a storage facility to be assembled and tested before it can be tested.
The TV station also reported that the test drive will be first done within Kuching Ithmus first, before it is goes on further trail runs on its route from Samarahan to Kuching.
Based on previous reports, the Hydrogen ART is scheduled to be tested in Kuching Ithmus for two months before it’s Proof Of Concept (POC) phase will be done from Samarahan.
