The Kuching Waterfront will be the center for the 2025 count down celebrations this year with the Sarawak government planning a massive celebrations to welcome the new year.
According to a news report carried out by TVS, the new year celebrations will see multiple different activities, aimed to cater for different sections of the crowd.
The news report quoted Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry, Performing Arts, Youth, Sports & Entrepreneur Development, Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, as saying that the event will begin from as early as 8AM until the countdown which will be at midnight.
Among the activities planned are Aerobics, children’s dancing, Art demonstrations, and Sarawak Junior Symphony Orchestra (SONS).
The event also involves a pre-show event from 6.45PM to 8.20PM at the Kuching Waterfront Godown Amphitheater, with popular artist taking the stage from then on until the final hours of 2024, and the welcoming of 2025.
Malaysian artist, Akim & The Majistret, Sarawak songstress, Zee Avi and Indonesia legend, Hetty Koes Endang are among the big names expected to entertain the crowd during the Kuching count down event.
The event is organized by the Sarawak Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry, Performing Arts, Youth, Sports & Entrepreneur Development.
