Kuching will soon be able to boast of 3 different police districts with the separation of the Kuching Police District (IPD Kuching) to Kuching South Police District, Kuching North Police District, and Padawan Kuching Police District.
The news was confirmed by State Commissioner of Police DCP Dato’ Mortadza Nazarene, in which he stressed that the need for such move was due to the huge area of covered under IPD Kuching. For the locals, the move will certainly bring hope that police presence will improve in their areas.
