Carlsberg is hosting the four-day Carls Harvest Pesta in Kuching, Sarawak, from May 15th to 18th, as a cultural celebration honoring the Harvest Festival and the heritage and natural beauty of Sabah and Sarawak.
The open-air grounds of Farley Kuching will be transformed into a vibrant space filled with local food, native music, and symbolic icons representing both states, mirroring the designs on Carlsberg’s artist-edition packaging.
This event aims to celebrate the joy of communities uniting for the Harvest Festival.
A central focus of this year’s Pesta is the launch of Carlsberg’s artist-edition packaging and collectible Harvest plates, designed by Sabahan artist Nelson Lip and Sarawakian artist T. Bagak.

These artistic collaborations embody Carlsberg’s “By Locals, For Locals” ethos, highlighting local pride and creativity.
Olga Pulyaeva, Marketing Director of Carlsberg Malaysia, emphasized that the event is a tribute to the communities of Sabah and Sarawak, whose heritage and passion have shaped every aspect of the celebration, making it a meaningful festival created with and for the community.
The event space is designed to evoke the spirit of Gawai and Kaamatan, with an entrance featuring a Hop Leaf Arch leading into a festive village reminiscent of a Sarawakian longhouse.

Guests are welcomed with a complimentary Carlsberg and can participate in various activities, including the Tuak Bomb ritual led by a village chief, hands-on Resin Rice Art and Shrink Art keychain making, and a Cocktail Workshop teaching how to mix a tuak-infused Carlsberg Smooth Draught cocktail.
Attendees can also explore the KIA Market, showcasing local entrepreneurs and artisans offering handmade crafts and regional delicacies.
Evenings will feature performances by prominent local artists such as At Adau, Melissa Francis, Ramles Walter, and others, representing the diverse musical landscape of East Malaysia.
