About Subang Airport

Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, commonly known as Subang Airport or Subang Skypark, is located in Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.

Initially opened in 1965, it served as Kuala Lumpur’s main airport until the opening of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in 1998. Despite this, Subang Airport remains a vital hub for regional and charter carriers, including Firefly and Berjaya Air.

Subang Airport is known for its convenient location, just 30 minutes from Kuala Lumpur city center, making it a popular choice for both locals and tourists. The airport underwent significant renovations between 2007 and 2009, transforming it into a modern facility with a range of amenities, including shops, restaurants, spas, and free Wi-Fi.

The airport handles around 1.5 million passengers annually and continues to attract travelers due to its proximity to the city and ease of access. Subang Airport is also aiming to become a leading center for Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services, as well as other aerospace activities in the region.

With its blend of modern facilities and strategic location, Subang Airport offers a convenient and efficient travel experience for both business and leisure travelers.
