Air connectivity in Sarawak has obtained a new lease of life after East Asia based Emerates has announced its entry into Sarawak via a code share with Malaysia Airlines.
According to a press release by the company, their Malaysian destinations include Kuching, Miri, Bintulu, and Sibu with other destinations listed as Langkawi, Penang, Alor Setar, Kota Baru, Kuantan, Kuala Terengganu, Johor Baru, Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, Tawau and Labuan.
The Emirates – Malaysia Airlines code share agreement allows passangers to use a single combined ticket for Emirates and Malaysia Airlines-operated flights, allowing them to enjoy seamless travel options at point of origin, to their final destination.
To mark the start of the codeshare extension, Emirates is offering special fares until April 8 – which can be used for travel until Dec 31.
From Penang, economy class fares start from RM2,839 to Paris, RM2,989 to London, and RM3,499 to Dubai whilst from Miri, Kuching or Sibu, economy class fares start from RM3,239 to Paris, RM3,389 to London and RM3,899 to Dubai.
