Borneo Sonic Music Festival ‘upgrades’ ticket holder fan zones

The up-coming Borneo Sonic Music Festival which will be held from 6 -7 October 2023 will see their zones ‘upgraded’.

According to the organizers, the move is “to ensure the safety and security of all attendees and maximise the use of event space”.

In theis latest announcement by the Borneo Sonic Music Festival, the area for VIP and CAT1 zones had shrunk in size.

This now allows room for CAT2 and CAT3 zone ticket holders which will now be standing in the field of Stadium Sarawak.

This also means ticket holders of zone CAT2 and CAT3 will be nearer to the stage, and will be free standing.

Meanwhile CAT 5 ticket holders will be seated at the lower end of the Sarawak Stadium terrace, moved from the upper terrace of the stadium, and taking over what used to be the seats for CAT4.

CAT4 ticket holders will now occupy what used to be CAT3 seats in the stadium.

The highest terrace of the stadium, usually called ‘blue seats’ by locals is no more sold under any category.

The announcement of the changes can be seen in the posters below.

Aside from that, the organizers of the Borneo Sonic Music Festival had also introduced special VIP zone which is not for sale in the centre of the stadium, with vendors also having a dedicated zone in the new seating arrangement.
