AirAsia opens Kuching-Subang route

Promotional flights start from RM88/way

Low cost carier AirAsia will serve the Kuching-Subang route with 14 weekly flights made available using its Airbus A320 aircraft.

The route will begin operation on August 20th, 2024.

According to New Straits Times, promotional rates of RM88/way for the route are on sale from today until July 28th, with travel time set from August 30 2024 to October 8 2025.

The resumption of the route was made possible due to the Subang Airport Regeneration Plan (SARP) which plans to turn Subang Airport into a premium city airport.

Aside from flying to Kuching, AirAsia also announced that it will be flying to Kota Kinabalu from Subang Airport as well with promotional flights starting at RM99/way.

It is expected that other airlines serving the airport such as FireFly, Batik Air Malaysia, Scoot, PT TransNusa Aviation Mandiri (TransNusa) and Scoot Pte Ltd would also start mounting flights from Subang to other destinations in East Malaysia in the near future.
