On 13 December, we created an online poll on our twitter @KuchingBorneo account, asking our followers about which major shopping mall in Kuching has the best Christmas decorations this time around.
Four malls were chosen for the poll, namely tHe Spring Mall Kuching, AEON Mall Central Park, Plaza Merdeka and VivaCity Megamall.
CityOne Megamall was omitted from the poll as they had just recently experienced an accident and it wouldn’t be fair to include them in the poll.
The poll on twitter went in for 2 days, and some 291 responded.
When the poll closed, the results showed an undisputed win by tHe Spring Mall as you can see below.

Comments we received showed that many felt tHe Spring had really outdone themselves this year and that they are they had been the mall to beat when it comes to decorations.
We were made to understand that this years decorations was themed “Garden of Dreams”, and it featured elves, unicorns, music boxes and more.
We will do similar polls like this again in the future as they reception has been nothing short of good.

Vivacity was the worst as their centre court had a bedding fair
Viva and the rest..dun fall b3hind…catch up in the upcoming events/ celebrations
Aeon and Spring were the only two who put effort. Plaza Merdeka had a stage surrounded by Parkson school clothes. How I wish they played more Christmas songs and carols in the ambient music. Viva was so disappointing
How about Sarawak Plaza and Riverside Majestic…Hills Shopping Mall…hehe
