Miri Sentral to start operations on January 18th, 2025
The new Miri Sentral Bus Terminal which is located along the Miri Bypass will officially start operations on January 18, 2025.
According to UKAS, the new terminal will replace Pujut Bus Terminal.
Pujut Bus Terminal will cease operations on January 17, 2025.
Miri Mayor, Adam Yii Siew Sang said the opening of the new transportation hub is a significant milestone in enhancing public transportation infrastructure in Miri.
He also stated that the terminal will operate daily from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
The new transportation hub has 12 ticket counters, 12 retail shops, 14 bus platforms, and two cafes.
It also boast a spacious and comfortable waiting area, and disability friendly public restrooms.
Like Kuching Sentral, Miri Sentral will serve as the main hub for long-distance buses, local buses, taxis, and e-hailing services.
The transportation hub is a project by the Sarawak Government, the Sarawak Ministry of Transport, and the Miri City Council.
