KK Hop-On Hop-Off (HoHo) Bus: Explore Kota Kinabalu’s best attractions from RM20
Kota Kinabalu has recently launched its highly anticipated Hop-On Hop-Off (HoHo) city tour bus service, a significant boost to the local tourism sector in Sabah.
This new KK Hop-On Hop-Off (HoHo) Bus initiative aims to provide both tourists and locals with a flexible and convenient way to explore the city’s iconic landmarks and attractions.
The service, which officially began operations on September 12, 2025, features a fleet of two 60-seater double-decker buses.
KK Hop-On Hop-Off (HoHo) Bus route and stops
Operating daily from 9 am to 6 pm, the buses follow a carefully planned route with 17 designated stops. If traffic is good, each look pates 120 minutes.
These stops include major destinations such as Yayasan Sabah, the City Mosque, Sabah International Convention Centre, and Tanjung Aru Beach, offering a comprehensive tour of Kota Kinabalu’s cultural, historical, and modern sites.

The timetable below also indicates the last bus at selected stops with the service indicating that if the KK Hop-On Hop-Off (HoHo) Bus does not arrive within 15–20 minutes after the estimated last bus time, the last bus should be assumed to have already passed the stop and the service for that bus at that area has ended for the day.
The objective of the HoHo bus is to enhance the city’s appeal as a premier tourist destination by providing a world-class, sustainable, and stress-free sightseeing experience.

The buses come equipped with multi-lingual commentary in English, Malay, Mandarin, Tamil, Korean, and Japanese to cater to a diverse range of international visitors.
KK Hop-On Hop-Off (HoHo) Bus ticket prices and fees
Tickets are priced affordably at RM30 for Malaysian adults and RM20 for children, while international visitors pay RM45 for adults and RM25 for children. Tickets can be bought on the bus itself.
With the flexibility to “hop on and off as you please,” visitors can create their own personalized itinerary, spending as much time as they like at each attraction.
