Eight completed pier caps of Kuching ART Red Line signify full swing of project

Sarawak Metro, the company behind the Kuching Urban Transformation System (KUTS) Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) recently shared 8 pier caps which have been completed on their social media sites.
The pier caps, which is located near Pelita Heights area, a place more popularly known as BDC by locals, show these piers already forming a massive ‘T’ which will help create the elevation needed for the upcoming KUTS ART.

Sarawak Metro in their posting shared that the ninth pier cap is scheduled for installation soon, and that the completion of these piers signify that the development of the 12KM KUTS ART Red Line is crossing into full gear.
The company also mentioned that most of the KUTS ART Red Line will be elevated, with the line itself having eight elevated stations from Kuching Sentral to Neu Pendington in Pending.

It is also worth to note that the at-grade route for the KUTS ART Blue Line along the Samarahan Expressway is also looking to be closer to completion although the stations are still very much in progress.
The first stage of the KUTS ART is expected to start operations at the end of 2026 with at least one of its station already taking shape to date.
