The Jakar town interchange stretch of the Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak is now fully operational for motorists.
This means that motorist can fully utilize both sections of the highway, making the whole stretch operating as a four-lane dual carriageway like much of Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak.
According to a video shared by the Sarawak Public Works Department, this newly completed segment is part of the Bukit Sebangkoi and Sarikei sections under Work Package Contract 06.
With the full opening of the stretch, travel from along the Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak promes smoother and better connectivity.
This opening is expected to alleviate traffic, especially for those traveling for the upcoming Hari Gawai Dayak.
